DF Marmi Trani

Bush-hammered Trani marble

Bush-hammering strikes the surface and makes it rough and matt; the trimmed edges keep the laying regular. It is the classic finish for outdoor areas that are walked on, from driveways to poolsides.

How the bush hammer works

It strikes the surface with close-set points and opens it. What remains is a rough, matt, regular face, while the edges stay trimmed: the lay is therefore tight-jointed and in aligned courses, not in mixed sizes.

The finish for outdoor walking surfaces

Driveways, pavements, vehicle ramps, pool surrounds, external stairs. With a compressive breaking load of 1922 kg/cm² and a loss below 2% after freeze-thaw cycles, it takes light vehicle traffic.

Cleaning

The roughness holds a little more dirt than a smooth surface, and in exchange it never turns slippery. Wash it with water at moderate pressure: a pressure washer at full power, held still, digs out the joint over the years.
