Borgo Montetorto
Paving that recalls the local building tradition, in dialogue with the landscape around it.

The covered terrace of the hamlet looks out over the olive groves through one long opening between the pillars. Under the beamed roof, the stone floor is the base for a table that stays laid all day.
The context
A space that is outdoors but lived in like a room, open to sun and rain on one side. What was needed was paving with an irregular pattern, in keeping with the dry-stone walls and the whitewashed masonry, and rough enough not to turn slippery.
The work
Paving in stone slabs of irregular format, laid under the pergola and carried outwards with a stretch of cobbles. The warm tone of the stone agrees with the white pillars and with the dry-stone wall that closes the terrace.
